PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fishing reel, in detail, a one-sided bearing reel, having a simpler structure than that of a conventional one-sided bearing reel and excellent workability of maintenance. SOLUTION: In this fishing reel in which a spool is detachably fixed through a rotatable and detachable mechanism to a spindle in which the spool of the spool is fixed through a bearing fitted into a support part to a reel main body, an elastic latching means is elastically latched in the vicinity of a spindle insertion opening part of the support part, the bearing is retained through the elastic latching means in the support part so as not to remove the bearing. In the fishing reel, a clutch connection member through which the spindle is passed and which is connected through a clutch to a winding drive mechanism attached to the reel main body is fixed through the elastic latching means to the spindle insertion opening part of the support part and the bearing is retained through the clutch connection member and the elastic latching means in the support part so as not to remove the bearing.
