A drywall finishing system apparatus and method used to finish seams and corners in modern drywall construction. Interior and exterior flex-trim piec es are made having flanges (1) with an outer surface (2) prepared to directly receive paint or texture. These pieces can be supplied in standard lengths o r on rolls. The flanges are scored (7) or grooved (8) to fold to fit into drywall seams. To use the pieces, the drywaller simply applies wet drywall m ud to the seam and presses the piece into position. The optionally tapered or beveled edges (3) are then "killed" with a wide blade tool. When the mud dries, the piece is ready to receive paint or texture without sanding. It is possible to kill the edges a second time to achieve a perfect kill.
