<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a pipe line which can regenerate the inner wall of the pipe line without increasing the temperature of the pipe line even when the pipe line is narrow, and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: In the method and apparatus, a regeneration material (a liner 13) is fitted to the inner wall regeneration part of the pipe line and irradiated with electromagnetic waves to be cured for the regeneration of the pipe line. An electromagnetic wave generator 40 for generating the electromagnetic waves which is arranged to be separated from the inner wall regeneration part, an electromagnetic wave transmitting body (for example, an optical fiber cable 30 such as a light guide) for transmitting the energy of the electromagnetic waves generated by the generator 40, and an irradiation means 50 for emitting the electromagnetic waves transmitted through the body 30 toward a regeneration member are provided.
