PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a waste capable of easily separating and reducing heavy metals contained in the waste and efficiently recycling plastics and a treating equipment. SOLUTION: The waste containing the plastics is heated at a temperature of 300 to 700 deg.C, a solid substance solidified after a component is melted and dripped is crushed into a powder, which is allowed to be suspended in a liquid and a powder containing much of heavy metal components is separated by allowing it to sediment.
