PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact roll paper type printer with a cutter which is easy-to-use. SOLUTION: A line thermal head 5 and a platen roller 6 of a printer main body 4 are provided movably at a position R capable of solving paper choking, and a movable blade 12 is mounted on the thermal head 5 via a supporting plate 16, and a fixed blade 13 is mounted on a shaft 6a of the platen roller 6. Thereby, since the movable cutter 12 can be moved only by moving the thermal head 5, a printer with a cutter capable of easily solving paper choking can be provided.
