COATING PEELING METHOD FOR WIRE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating peeling method for a wire material with improved workability and yield by reducing the abrasion of a chipper for peeling the coating of rolled wire material. SOLUTION: Coating of the wire material drawn at 10-70% of surface reduction ratio is peeled. When peeling, the chipper made of cemented carbide and having a surface processed with TiAlN or TiN to have HV 2000 or more of hardness is used.
