PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly manufacture a wire stretching member in compliance with the demand and also a format and thickness of a book binding booklet at the time, especially in a book binding method. SOLUTION: Wire stitching members 41, 41', 41 are manufactured just before book binding according to demands and also in accordance with the format and thickness selected at each case of the binding booklet and provided with an arbitrary loop length (L), a loop pitch (A), and a wire diameter (D) with advantage to bind the booklet having a loop number (N) which can be brought into coincidence with the largest booklet length to be processed.
