摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam irradiation device capable of always irradiating the image of the emitting end of a optical fiber in a state of image formed on the irradiation face in irradiating an irradiation face by transmitting a noncontinuous output type laser beam by an optical fiber. SOLUTION: The device is constituted by providing a main laser device 1 for generating a main laser beam 2, an optical fiber 5 for guiding the main laser beam 1 to the vicinity of a object 14 to be irradiated, an emission optical system 13 for image forming the image of the emission end face of the optical fiber 5 on the surface of the object 14 to be irradiated, a focus position driving mechanism 15 for changing the focus position of the laser beam 2 emitted from the emission optical system 13 into the travelling direction of the laser beam, and a measurement control means 6, 7, 8, 21, 24, 26, 27, etc., for controlling the focus position driving mechanism 15 so as to make the focus of the emission optical system 13 coincide with the surface of the object 14 to be irradiated by aquiring the data on the distance between the surface of the object to be irradiated and the focus position, and arithmetic processing this data.</p>
