摘要 PURPOSE: A loader/unloader for transferring glass plates and a method for controlling the loader/unloader are provided to scan glass plates stacked on a cassette rack by using a Z-axis part of an aligner to detect the plate alignment state and control a radial motion robot according to the detected alignment state to align the glass plates. CONSTITUTION: A centering device(25) aligns positions of a supply cassette rack(23) and collecting cassette rack(24). An aligner(26) detects the alignment state of glass plates stacked on the cassette racks. An ionizer removes particles such as dust on the glass plates. A bar code reader recognizes bar codes of the glass plates. An area detection sensor detects whether or not a person or obstacle approaches to a glass plate transferring work area. A radial motion robot(30) moves the glass plates stacked on the supply cassette rack to a process module(10) one by one, and stacks processed glass plates on the collecting cassette rack. A Y-axis movement unit moves the radial motion robot on Y-axis.
