PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the image quality at the peripheral end part. SOLUTION: Thickness of the outer wall 11c of ink chambers 11a at the opposite ends is set equal to the thickness of inner barrier walls 11b and a drive electrode 13 is provided on the outside of each outer wall 11c. Consequently, ejection of ink from outermost ink chamber 11a can be controlled similarly to ejection of ink from other ink chambers 11a on the inside and uniform quality can be sustained from the central part to the peripheral end part of an image formed on a recording medium.
