PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make sheets fed in succession stay temporarily while finish processing such as drilling a hole and binding processing is performed for a sheet stack. SOLUTION: A first sheet fed in the arrow 28 direction is stored in a slot 38 of a disc 22. The disc 22 receives a second sheet fed in succession by aligning it with the first sheet stored already. It rotates to the right while it receives two sheets to bring front fringes of two sheets into contact with a register wall 24, turn them over on the sheet stack 40, and pile them up. While sheets are held in the disc 22 in an overlapped condition, predetermined finish processing can be performed for the sheet stack 40 by a finish mechanism 44.
