PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance supporting strength of an instrument panel as well as assembling workability and maintenance efficiency. SOLUTION: This air conditioner for a vehicle comprises an air conditioning unit provided at its inside with a blower, an evaporator, and a heater core. In this air conditioning unit, a cross beam storing part is arranged for storing a part of a crossbeam extending in a vehicle width direction and opened toward a vehicle front side.
