PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate lining without a fear that the lining layer is liable to be damaged or that pin holes occur on the lining layer. SOLUTION: In a method of lining the inside of a pipe, a pig for lining purpose inserted into an existing pipe A is moved therealong. A non-hardened resin material 1 filled ahead of the pig's traveling direction is thereby caused to be applied on the inside of the existing pipe. The inside of the existing pipe is thus lined by the lining layer to be obtained by hardening the applied resin material. The method is made up of a first step of moving the first pig 6 inserted into the existing pipe along the existing pipe to thereby apply the non-hardened resin material onto the inside of the existing pipe, a second step of reducing the inside of the existing pipe below atmospheric pressure in a state in which the resin material applied onto the inside of the existing pipe has not been hardened yet, and a third step of inserting in the existing pipe after it has been reduced below atmospheric pressure the second pig which is larger in outer diameter than the first pig and moving it along the existing pipe in a state in which the resin material has not been hardened.
