PURPOSE: A tool holder is provided to improve the size accuracy by exactly clamping a cutting insert into an insert seat. CONSTITUTION: A tool holder comprises a head, as well as side surfaces(11a,11b), against which side edges of the cutting insert are intended to abut when the cutting insert is mounted in the tool holder, one of the side surfaces(11a) being flexible, and the tool holder having members for receipt of clamping members for the cutting insert or members for clamping of the cutting insert. Characteristic of the tool holder according to the invention is that two side surfaces(11a,11b) are arranged on a plate-shaped member(9), which is detachably applied on the head. Thereby, the size accuracy is improved. |
