APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONFIRMING PERSONAL INFORMATION OF ELECTORS USING FINGERPRINT

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for confirming personal information of electors are provided to read fingerprints having individually different shapes and confirm personal information. CONSTITUTION: A database unit(120) stores elector register in which elector personal contents including names and resident registration numbers of electors are written and the vote fact of the electors. A personal information confirming unit(100) obtains names, resident registration numbers, and fingerprint data from resident cards of the electors, and reads whether the fingerprint data of the electors are identical to vital fingerprints of the electors. An operation unit(110) confirms whether the electors are registered in the elector register and the vote of the electors are performed on the basis of the names and resident registration numbers of the electors confirmed in the personal information confirming unit(100).
