GRINDING APPARATUS FOR FLAT PANEL FOR CATHODE RAY TUBE

PURPOSE: A grinding apparatus for flat panel for cathode ray tube is provided to obtain a uniformly ground surface while protecting the display surface from scratch. CONSTITUTION: A grinding apparatus comprises a rotatable wear table(43) where a flat panel(10) to be ground is mounted; an adsorption head(50) including a spindle(52) arranged to be elevatable and rotatable along the axial direction of the wear table, and an adsorption member(53) coupled beneath the spindle in such a manner that the adsorption member is eccentrically movable with respect to the spindle and adsorbs the flat panel; and a grinding panel(60) coupled to the wear table in such a manner that the grinding panel is attachable/detachable to/from the wear table. The grinding panel includes a plurality of grinding ribs, and grinds the surface of the flat panel. The grinding ribs of the grinding panel are disposed in such a manner as to form a rhombic shape when projected.
