PURPOSE: A feeder unit having a paper alignment function is provided to prevent double feed and jam error by stably aligning the tips of papers in tiers though large quantity of papers are loaded on a cassette. CONSTITUTION: A feeder unit abstracts the papers(1) loaded on a cassette(10) by rotational drive of a separation roller(21) one by one and feeds along the feed path in an image-forming machine. The feeder unit includes an aligning device aligning the tips of the papers loaded on the cassette in tiers. The aligning unit is an aligning roller disposed to the upper part of the separation roller and coupled to a rotating shaft eccentrically. The feeder unit includes a train of gearing(200) transmitting power to the aligning roller from a power source, and a clutch unit selectively shutting off power transmitted to the aligning roller. The train of gearing includes a driving gear(210) taking the power from the power source, a slave gear(250) coupled at the front end of the rotating shaft of the aligning roller, and connecting gears installed between the driving gear and slave gear. Therefore, double feed and jam error are prevented.
