PURPOSE: A method for controlling track jump of an optical disk is provided to exactly access a target location by lowering speed of an actuator when going close to the target location. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling track jump of an optical disk includes the steps of performing a production action while operating an actuator and a sled at a speed corresponding to the present location of the optical disk, calculating the number of movable tracks from the present location and a target location while performing the track jump action when there is a track jump request to the target location during the production action, and setting the actuator at a speed lower than that corresponding to the present location.
