PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically cut off a power source of a portable terminal, especially, abut radio communicating functions, irrespective of the wish of its owner when the owner gets on an electric train, without burdening the portable telephone and stations with additional equipment expenses. SOLUTION: The apparatus is composed of an acquisition unit 6 for acquiring the variation of the receiving level of a radio wave sent from a base station 26-2, a judging unit 7 for judging whether the moving speed of an electric train moving together with a radio unit 2 exceeds a preset reference according to the variation, and a power control unit 3 for setting off the power to be fed to the radio unit 2, based on the judgment. A memory unit 14 for storing train schedule information 15 and a judging unit 8 for judging that there is a coincidence between an already judged time and a departure time of the train are added to estimate an arrival time at the next station, based on the train schedule information 15, thereby setting off the power in the estimated time zone. |
