PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil device having a current detecting function which has a miniaturized structure adjustable about the output voltage to obtain desired input/output characteristics. SOLUTION: The coil device having a current detection function comprises a core assembly 2 with a C-shaped core, a choke coil 4 wound around the core assembly 2, and a detection coil 5 to be magnetically coupled with the choke coil 4 with use of the C-shape core as a common magnetic path. The detection coil 5 is housed entirely or partly in a gap of the core assembly 2.
