<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character string recognizing device capable of automatically extracting a keyword from a character string, and precisely extracting a keyword constituted of a plurality of characters, and preventing any misreading when performing word recognition. SOLUTION: A key character code extracting means 1 automatically extracts keywords from a character string group(codes) to be recognized, and registers them. Then, a keyword extracting means 2 operates character recognition by segmenting individual characters from the character string image, and extracts a character string equivalent to the keywords extracted/registered by the key character code extracting means 1. Then, the keyword extracting means 2 extracts word areas divided by the keywords from the character string image, and a word recognizing means 3 carries out word recognition. Moreover, a verifying means 4 verifies the word recognized result, and outputs the final character string recognized result.</p> |
