SOLUTION: The telephone has memorial day information memory areas in a directory and stores memorial day information linked with parties in the directory on the memory areas. On one memorial day, based on the stored memorial day information, it indicates memorial day data including its linked party information in the directory on a display. When a user operates the telephone for a call originating or transmitting operation, it automatically executes the call originating or transmitting operation to the party linked with the indicated memorial day data in the directory, utilizing the party information in the directory.
