PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of a retriever who determines a retrieval key and reduce the burden of the retriever who finds objective information from a collected information group. SOLUTION: When storing information, a link having weight according to the degree of similarity between stored information is generated between the information. When retrieving information, similar information is collected and presented by two processing as follows. (1) A plurality of retrieved information is provided with an active value corresponding to the degree of similarity. The product of the active value and the weight of the link is propagated from the information provided with the active value, to the other information through the link, and added to the active value of the other information. Information with the active value of a certain value or more is collected. (2) The weight of the link between the collected information is used as attraction to arrange the similar information close to each other. The information is displayed being emphasized according to the grade of the active value.
