PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device terminal equipment, or the like which can easily and speedily inform a plurality of outer device of error information when an error has occurred in a peripheral equipment connected to a network without imposing excess operation burden such as to install an exclusive application and to be familiar with the operation on a user. SOLUTION: The network interface device controlling an interface between terminal equipment on the network and a peripheral equipment is provided with an information acquiring means acquiring information on the peripheral equipment, a message generating means generating a notice message based on information acquired in the information acquiring means, a message transmitting means giving information on the notice message based on notice destination data and an error time processing means performing a prescribed processing when the transmission error occurs when the notice message is transmitted by the message transmitting means.
