PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid increase of complexity and cost and decrease in reliability for providing MAC relays (medium access control repeaters), whose number is the same to the links (5 to 9) against to the number of links where many links such as 5 to 9 are useful in a metropolitan area network(MAN) or a campus area network(CAN) environment. SOLUTION: This system reduces the complexity of the multi link backbone of the parallel multi-point, without reducing the overall throughput, reduces volume of the hardware part to 2/5 (40%) to 4/9 (44%), and offers a method and a system to reduce similarly fault probability of the hardware, from the fact that a fault tolerant function is separated from the throughput function, when the backbone links are fault tolerant type.
