PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a life-time of an EL element, and reduce electric power consumption. SOLUTION: In the electroluminescence element constituted of a light-emitting layer pinched between a pair of electrodes wherein the light-emitting layer contains a fluorescent material, eluting amount of chlorine ion from the fluorescent material is made to be 10 ppm or less.
