PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost slider activating switch that can be utilized for high current and high voltage. SOLUTION: In the switch, a micro switch mechanism provided with an energized plunger is provided. The main body of the switch mechanism is covered with a cover provided with a user operating slider that is installed to it. The movement of the slider is limited to a track formed on the cover. A cam surface is provided to a part of the slider that can be engaged to the slider of the switch mechanism. The contour of the cam surface exceeding the center line is released after the plunger is pushed down by the slider in one direction. Any careless operation of the switch is avoided by the contour of the cam.
