PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance capacitance and improve volume energy density of a storage battery by increasing filled capacity of a negative electrode active material and increasing electrode capacitance of a nickel-hydrogen storage battery, to provide a cylindrical battery or a positive and negative electrode laminated square battery eliminating a winding process by using a hydrogen storage alloy compact porous electrode and a nickel hydroxide compact porous electrode, and to fabricate an electrode with a complicated shape or a very large size by exerting originality and ingenuity on a forming method or a machining method. SOLUTION: A hydrogen storage alloy compact includes favorably 0.01-1 wt.% magnesium and it does not include a current collecting support body, the hydrogen storage alloy compact porous negative electrode includes the hydrogen storage alloy compact, and the nickel-hydrogen storage battery includes the negative electrode, a positive electrode and a separator. |
