PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi direction rubber input switch as a pointing device where a pointer such as a cursor in a GUI environment of a portable information device can be easily operated and also constituted at low cost. SOLUTION: In the multi direction rubber input switch made of a printed substrate 3 where contact point circuits 2b and 10b are formed and a rubber sheet 1 where a projecting operation button 10a, which can be inclined, mounted on the printed substrate and provided with moving contact points 2c and 10c facing the contact point circuits on its backside are formed integrally. In this case, the moving contact points are formed in a ring shape and the contact point circuits are made of radial contact point patterns where a part that is conducted is varied by having the ring shape moving contact points abutted to it according to the direction the projected operation button is inclined.
