PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the use of a recording medium at ease, on which main data such as audio data and sub-data such as the picture information or character information corresponded to the main data are recordable. SOLUTION: Data of UTOC and data of AUX UTOC are read out from a disk of MD Clip format, then a maker code and a model code recorded on the AUX UTOC are compared with a maker code and a model code recorded on the UTOC, and when they are disagreed, the user is notified about this disagreement.
