PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a semiconductor light-emitting device and prevent axial deviation of a semiconductor light-emitting element. SOLUTION: An anode and a cathode electrode (8a and 8b) of the semiconductor light-emitting element (8) are electrically connected to a first and a second lead (2a and 2b) respectively. The semiconductor light-emitting device comprises a first cup section (1), which is formed on one end part of either the first or the second lead (2a and 2b) and has the semiconductor light-emitting element (8) fastened to it, and a second cup section (7), which is electrically connected to the first cup section (1) and has a protective element (17) fastened to it. Current in the semiconductor light-emitting element (8) is protected by the protective element (17). |
