PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery securing safety. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material capable of storing and releasing lithium ion and an negative electrode capable of storing and releasing lithium ion, and the positive electrode active material includes an active material containing lithium-metal compound oxide of not less than one kind of layer structure and spinel structure lithium-metal compound oxide and an active material containing phosphate compound of not less than one kind of olivine structure phosphate compound containing lithium. Since a positive electrode active material containing phosphate compound is stable, safety under high temperature environment is to be secured. Consequently, nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with very high safety can be provided. |
