IMAGE READER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader that uses an original platen to smoothly and efficiently read originals of many pages and to provide an image forming apparatus provided with the image reader. SOLUTION: A timer is used to specify a time interval and a scanning means is operated at the time interval. A read command button has only to be operated at a first time and consecutive reading is automatically executed at the time interval specified by the timer.
