PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a product and working efficiency without inclusion of slag in a continuously casting metal strip by forming slag basin in a core arranged by dipping into molten metal pool formed between twin rolls to catch the slag in the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal pool 19 is formed between the twin rolls 11, 12. Parting weirs 30 extended downward along surface part of the above rolls 11, 12 are arranged in the core 15 submerged in this pool 19. Successively, the reverse U-shaped slag basin 26 are formed with this weir 30. Then, the slag 17 developed in the above pool 19 is caught, and as the slag 17 is not included in the metal strip 18 continuously cast, the quality of the product and the efficiency of the work are improved. |
