PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component such as laminate ceramic capacitors which has especially an improved flexure strength with holding an adhesion strength and a tensile strength. SOLUTION: The electronic component 2 has an element body 10 having alternately laminated dielectric layers 4 and inner electrode layer 6, 8, and outer terminal electrodes 22, 14 formed on the outside of the element body 10. At least the surface of a part 20a of the outer terminal electrodes 12, 14 is oxidated.
