PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone with a call charge display function that can correctly recognize a telephone company used by the telephone so as to accurately display a call charge even after a telephone company selection service or a fixed telephone company service is started. SOLUTION: A ten-key 3 enters a telephone number of a speech opposite party and a network control section 1 controls a connection to a telephone line 8 of a telephone company. A contract telephone company storage section 6 stores contract information and a charging table 7 by telephone companies stores charge information of each telephone company. A control section 2 decides one telephone company to be used on the basis of the entered telephone number, the contract information and a toll station number of its own station stored in an own station number storage section 5 and calculates the call charge on the basis of the charge information of the telephone company and the speech time.
