PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recording of moving images, facilitating together in one file for repetitively taking the moving images at the same spot, situation, etc. SOLUTION: The moving image taking digital camera for recording taken moving images in a file comprises a mode setting dial 1 for setting a single or continuous recording mode. In the single recording mode set by this dial 1, it records taken moving images in a newly prepared file. When the continuous recording mode is set by this dial 1, it records, in addition to the existing file having been recorded with photographed moving images. Thus, in repeated photographing moving of mages, these moving images can be recorded together in one file and connect the moving images in the order of photographing.
