PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric discharge lamp lighting equipment, which can make an electric discharge lamp turn on with uniform brightness having no flickering. SOLUTION: A DC/DC converter part 11 switches direct-current input voltage Vin, and converts it to different direct-current voltage Vo and then, outputs it. A DC/AC inverter part 13 converts the direct-current voltage Vo supplied from the DC/DC converter part 11 to an alternate current voltage Vac for driving the electric discharge lamp 3 by oscillating operation of an oscillation circuit including the oscillation circuit and outputs it. A control part 12 synchronizes switching operation of the DC/DC converter part 11 with oscillating operation of the DC/AC inverter part 13 based on the synchronizing signal (h) supplied from the DC/AC inverter part. |
