PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital/analog broadcast receiver set which can automatically decide and set a channel, even when a selected channel is an analog or digital broadcast during the sequential change of the selected channel at channel setting. SOLUTION: An analog-side CPU 6 has the function of determining the presence of a station by an analog tuner 2, and a digital-side CPU 9 plays a role of determining the presence of a station by a digital tuner 3. When the analog CPU 6 decides absence of a station by the analog tuner 2, the CPU 6 issues an instruction to the digital CPU 9 to start the determining operation of the presence of the station of the same channel. The instruction starts the determining operation of the presence of the station by the digital tuner 3, and if the channel is a digital broadcast, then the tuner determines the presence of the station. Thus even if the selected channel is an analog or digital broadcast, the receiver set can determine automatically and can perform channel setting.
