PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a starter motor unit capable of reducing noise, a start delay, a fuel consumption, and an exhaust gas emission. SOLUTION: The starter motor unit is provided with a motor 10 having an armature core 14 firmly fixed to a revolving shaft and an armature coil 16 wound around a slot 15 of the armature core 14, a pulley 22 always connected to an internal combustion engine through a transmission means, and an electromagnetic clutch 21 for transmitting to the pulley a revolution power of the revolving shaft and cutting off the power. An outer diameter Da of the armature core 14 is made larger than the length in the shaft direction to get a high torque characteristic.
