PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a narrow width speaker applied to various video audio units that properly selects a reproduced frequency band, the efficiency and distortion or the like even with a low profile. SOLUTION: In a narrow width speaker, by forming a relation that the vicinity of a coupled part of a flat diaphragm 20 and a voice coil 8 is made high density part 20a, and the circumferential edge is made a low density part 20b, or vice versa with the diaphragm 20, the reproduced frequency band, the efficiency and distortion or the like are adjusted to obtain the speaker with a desired characteristic.
