PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image monitor system which displays the image of an intruder, etc., when a user is at home and stores a still picture in the case of detecting an intruder, etc., when the user is away from the home. SOLUTION: This image monitor system has a human body detecting means 11 for detecting that a person exists in a monitoring area, an imaging means 12 for imaging an imaging area, and a controller 2 for receiving a human body detection signal detected by the human body detecting means and a video signal obtained by the imaging means. The controller has a means 30 for setting an absence or presence mode, a means 24 for displaying image information photographed by the imaging means, a memory 39 for storing the image information of the imaging area, and a switch controlling means 36 for displaying image information photographed by the imaging means on a displaying means in the presence mode, and storing image information photographed by the imaging means in the memory in the absence mode.
