PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device, wherein usage for the purpose of illuminating a liquid crystal display device or the like is suitable and color display is possible, and furthermore wherein light leakage to a viewer's side is less and an illuminated object can be illuminated sufficiently and efficiently. SOLUTION: This comprises that it has a base material 31 and plural light- emitting parts 32 arranged in a prescribed pattern on one side of the base material. Light-emitting layers 53 are installed at the plural light-emitting parts interposed respectively between a negative electrode 54 and a positive electrode 52, and each of the plural light-emitting layers is made to be capable of emitting either light color of red, green or blue, and light reflecting parts 54 to reflect the light emission from the light-emitting layers onto the specific side of the base material are installed in the vicinity of the light-emitting layers.
