PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet device for a magnetic marker composed so that it is compatibly usable as N pole or S pole by substantially eliminating the strength difference between N pole and S pole. SOLUTION: An S pole of a first permanent magnet 11 with a stronger N pole and an N pole of a second permanent magnet 12 with a stronger S pole are brought into contact with each other opposedly to each other and integrated. The strengths of the outward facing N pole of the first permanent magnet 11 and S pole of the second permanent magnet 12 are equalized. The first and second permanent magnets 11 and 12 are integrally held by a non- magnetic exterior package structure 15.
