PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouse pad capable of maintaining smooth the sliding operation of a mouse, and eliminating adverse effects of static on the human body. SOLUTION: A recessed hole 6 is formed at a specified position in an upper surface 11 of this pad, a conductive contact piece 8 mainly comprising carbon is provided on a bottom surface of the hole 6, and this conductive contact piece 8 is electrically connected to a discharge part 7 opened to the lower surface side and/or to the side surface side of the pad.
