PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor by which the areas of different properties within dither-processed images (dither images) are respectively separated even when the dither information of the dither images is unknown. SOLUTION: This image processor is provided with a dither size detection means 11 for detecting the periodicity of pixels in the dither image and detecting a dither size and a separation means 12 for separating the image area of the dither image on the basis of the dither size detected in the dither size detection means 11.
