PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission system, of which liability can be improved by determining management status of processing for connection establishment and properly allocating the bus resources. SOLUTION: When a bus reset occurred (step S1), necessary initialization is carried out (steps S2; S3) at each node of a data transmission system on the IEEE 1394 bus. Then, when it is prior to within one second of elapse time after the bus rest (step S4) and the status for each connection is PENDING (step S5), in accordance with the recovery connection queue, in which the execution sequences of each connection recovery processing is registered (step S8), such a series of processings as GUID-acquisition processing (step S9), 'Broadcast-out' connection recovery processing (step S10), 'Broadcast-in' connection recovery processing (step S11), and 'Point-to-point' connection recovery processing (step S12) is executed sequentially. Also each connection recovery processing is controlled to be segmented into plural processing processings, as required, in order that a proper processing process by selectively executed.
