The pollutant particle emission reducer comprises a vaporizer (G) to diffuse water vapor into the exhaust gases from an I.C. engine or released by a heater burning hydrocarbon fuels. The water vapor is produced by recuperating exhaust gas heat in a heat exchanger (c) round the exhaust pipe, and is diffused in proportion to the quantity of exhaust gas by means of a pressure tank (E) with a valve (F) connected to the accelerator, and the amount of water required for evaporation is fed from a tank (A) through a float valve (B) in the heat exchanger. The condensation of the exhaust gas/water vapor mixture is enhanced by a silencer with cooling fins and an outlet cock for recuperating the liquid soot from it.
|
