The folding door (1) comprises a first leaf (3), connected by a pivot (7) to a frame (6), which can be displaced in the opening (f1) or closing (f2) rotation direction. A second leaf (4) is connected to the first leaf by a ball joint (9) and by a pivot (11) to runner (12) guided in a rail (13). The automatic opening system comprises a driving part (15) fixed on one of the leaves which rotates an arm (17) connected by a ball joint (18) to a connecting rod (19) which is articulated on the other leaf so as to apply a couple on the ball joint between the leaves in a direction opposite to the rotational direction of the first leaf.
