ADDRESS CONVERSION SYSTEM AND ADDRESS CONVERSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for enabling a user to easily read information without depending on the type of a portable telephone set and a terminal using a personal computer while reducing the troublesome input operation of the user performing web access. SOLUTION: A distribution server 30 accessed from a browser 11 loaded on the portable telephone set 10 is provided with a browser specification means 31 specifying the type of the browser being an access source. The distribution means 31 switches the connection destination of the browser 11 to a conversion server 40a. The conversion server 40a holds a conversion table 44a where an identification number is made to correspond to the page address of a web content which the browser 11 can access and it receives a retrieval request designating the identification number. Thus, a response designating the corresponding page address is given. Consequently, desired web contents are displayed on the browser 11.
